Bravo Recalls Chicken Pet Foods Due to Salmonella

Bravo-Pet-Foods-RecallLeading raw pet food maker Bravo Pet Foods of Manchester, Conn., has issued a voluntary of select chicken products for dogs and cats due to the potential for Salmonella contamination.

The discovery was made during routine testing by the New York State Department of Agriculture.

The following product tested positive for Salmonella:

Bravo Blend Chicken diet for dogs and cats – Chub; Item # 21-102; Size 2 Lb./#2. oz.; Best By Date 12-05-16; UPC: 829546211028.

Meanwhile, the company is also recalling certain lots of three other chicken products that did not test positive for Salmonella, out of an abundance of caution:

  • Bravo Balance Chicken Dinner for Dogs – Patties
  • Bravo Balance Chicken Dinner for Dogs – Chub
  • Bravo Blend Chicken Diet for dogs and cats – Patties
